G2
Close the G2 review gap your buyers are already looking at
G2 is where B2B software shortlists get made. A thin profile next to a competitor with ten times the reviews loses deals you never hear about.
You are probably here because
One of these sounds familiar.
- A competitor sits above you on the G2 grid for your own category.
- You have a handful of reviews and no system for getting more.
- Nobody has replied to a G2 review in months, good or bad.
G2 in detail
What G2 actually is
G2 is a review site where buyers search a category, say CRM software or email marketing, and get a ranked grid of vendors. The ranking is built from verified user reviews, not from who paid the most.
Those category pages often rank above vendors' own websites on Google. So for a lot of searches, G2 is the first thing your buyer reads about you, and you did not write a word of it.
The quarterly Leader badges matter too. They end up in sales decks, on websites and in investor updates, and you cannot get one without review volume and recency.
What we do on G2
- Review velocity planHow many reviews per month, from which customer segments, so the curve looks natural.
- Reviewers from your own listReal customers, verified by G2's own checks. Never written for them, never a dictated rating.
- Category and grid placementIn the categories your buyers actually search, and in the comparison grids against the right competitors.
- Badge strategyHitting the volume and recency thresholds that Leader and High Performer badges need.
- Replies on every reviewPublic, specific, and written to be read by the next prospect rather than the reviewer.
- Monthly reportingReview count, average rating, category position and badge status.
How the programme runs
First we claim and complete the profile. Screenshots, feature lists, categories, comparison entries. An incomplete profile converts badly even when the reviews are good.
Then reviews, at a planned pace. Forty reviews landing in one week looks exactly like what it is. The same forty spread across a quarter look like a healthy product, and G2 weights recency anyway.
Every incoming review gets a reply, including the critical ones. A vendor who answers a two-star review reads better than one who answers nothing.

G2 FAQs
Not in the sense of paying someone to post a review they made up. That breaks G2's terms and gets profiles wiped. What is allowed is incentivising a real, verified customer to spend fifteen minutes writing an honest review, with the incentive declared. That is the only model we run, and it is what G2 itself facilitates through its own programmes.
Enough to sit credibly next to your three closest competitors, which usually means getting within striking distance of their count rather than beating it. We benchmark that in the audit so the target is a real number, not a guess.
First reviews usually publish within three to five weeks once the programme is live, allowing for G2's verification. Grid position moves as volume and recency build, typically over one to two quarters.
