Paid Media
Paid media that buys back the top of your own brand search
Ads are the only lever on this page that works today instead of next quarter. If something bad is sitting above you on your own name, you can outbid it this afternoon.
You are probably here because
One of these sounds familiar.
- A competitor is running ads on your brand name and you are not.
- You are paying for clicks that land on a page nobody converts on.
- Your agency reports impressions and reach instead of enquiries.
Paid Media in detail
Why paid comes first in a reputation problem
Everything else in reputation work takes months. Ads take hours. When a bad result is sitting at position three on your own brand name, the fastest thing you can do is own positions zero and one with paid until the organic work catches up.
It also works the other way. Your competitors' brand names are usually cheap to bid on, and the people searching them are already in buying mode.
What you get
- Brand defence campaignsYou own position one on your own name, so nobody else can rent it.
- Competitor conquestAds on the brands you lose deals to, pointed at an honest comparison page.
- Google, LinkedIn, MetaOne plan across all of them instead of three vendors bidding against each other.
- Programmatic and retargetingStay in front of the people who looked and left.
- Landing pages that convertBuilt and tested by us, not handed back to your team as a to-do.
- Weekly numbersSpend, enquiries, cost per enquiry. In plain language, every week.
How we work
We start with your branded terms, because that is the cheapest traffic you will ever buy and the most expensive to lose. Then comparison and competitor campaigns, then broader intent.
Every campaign points at a landing page we are willing to be judged on. If the page is weak we will say so and fix it, because no amount of bidding rescues a page that does not convert.
Reporting is enquiries and cost per enquiry. Impressions and reach go in the appendix where they belong.
Questions
Paid Media FAQs
Yes, in almost every case. It is the cheapest click you can buy, it pushes a competitor's ad down the page, and it lets you control the exact message somebody sees at the moment they are deciding. The only time it is not worth it is when nobody else is bidding and you own every organic spot on the page.
Bidding on the keyword is allowed on Google. Using their trademark in your ad text is not, unless you are an authorised reseller. We run these campaigns inside the rules, which also keeps the ad account safe.
For brand defence alone, often very little, because brand terms are cheap and volume is limited. Competitor and intent campaigns need more. We will tell you the realistic monthly number after the audit instead of quoting a package before we have seen your search volume.
