Gartner Peer Insights
The review platform procurement actually trusts
Peer Insights is the hardest profile to build and the one that carries the most weight inside an enterprise buying committee. Most vendors give up at the verification step.
You are probably here because
One of these sounds familiar.
- You sell into enterprise and have almost nothing on Peer Insights.
- You have submitted reviews before and watched them stall in moderation.
- A competitor appears in a Voice of the Customer report and you do not.
Gartner Peer Insights in detail
What Peer Insights actually is
Peer Insights is Gartner's own review platform. It is not the paid analyst business and it is not the Magic Quadrant, which trips a lot of people up.
Reviews come from verified enterprise practitioners and every one is moderated by a human before it publishes. Work email, LinkedIn, proof of use. That is why it is slow, and exactly why procurement trusts it.
It also feeds the Voice of the Customer reports that buying committees get handed internally, which is coverage you cannot buy any other way.
What we do on Peer Insights
- Reviewer qualificationWhich customers can actually pass Gartner's checks, identified before anyone is asked.
- Verification preparationReviewers briefed on exactly what Gartner needs, so submissions clear instead of bouncing.
- Submission trackingEvery review followed through moderation, with the stalled ones chased.
- Review depth coachingGuidance on covering the use case and outcomes, never the rating or the wording.
- Voice of the Customer positioningVolume and recency aimed at the thresholds those reports use.
- Honest pacingPeer Insights moves slowly. We plan around that rather than pretending otherwise.
How the programme runs
We identify which of your customers can realistically pass verification. Not everyone can, and starting with the wrong list is why most programmes stall.
Then we prepare them properly. The submission needs a work email, a LinkedIn profile that matches, and evidence they actually use the product. Reviewers who are briefed on this get through. Reviewers who are not get rejected and never come back.
Then we track every submission through moderation and chase the ones that sit. This is unglamorous and it is most of the value.
Questions
Gartner Peer Insights FAQs
Gartner runs its own incentive programme with set gift card values, and that is the only incentive permitted. We work inside it. Anything outside it risks the profile, and on a platform this hard to build that is not a risk worth taking.
Almost always verification. A personal email address instead of a work one, a LinkedIn profile that does not match the stated role, or no evidence the reviewer actually uses the product. Briefing reviewers on this before they start is the single biggest lever on completion rate.
Six to ten weeks before reviews start publishing, and a full quarter before the profile looks materially different. If you need movement faster than that, G2 and Capterra are the right places to start while Peer Insights builds in the background.
